Punched and oxidised square earrings

A round punch was used to mark circles on 1mm thick squares of sterling silver. The square was then domed slightly before being soldered on to earring pins. After pickling the earrings were oxidised using liver of sulphur. Excess oxidation was removed using a dremel felt and finally the earrings were burnished to bring out the highlights in the silver texture.

The earring findings came from Cooksons.
