Dichroic strip pendants

These two pendants both used pre-fired strips of Bullseye on black - the 20cm strips are available in either warm or cold dichroic colour and offer a useful source of thin strips of dichroic colour.

For the first pendant: the bottom layer is 2mm black opal. The patterned layer is made using strips of teal green opal to hide the hanging hook, three strips of pre-fired Bullseye of contrasting colour and then spring green opal. This is then topped with 2mm clear glass.

Fine silver is used to make the hanging hook which is fused in place during the firing process and hung on a silk necklet from Cooksons.

For the second pendant: the bottom layer is 2mm black opal. The patterned layer is made using strips of steel blue opal to hide the hanging hook, one strip of pre-fired Bullseye of contrasting colour and then possibly light cyan opal. This is then topped with 2mm clear glass.

Fine silver is used to make the hanging hook which is fused in place during the firing process and hung on a silk necklet from Cooksons.
